Lamborghini’ the Italian super sports car maker hits Indian market with the bullish outlook SUV “ Huracan Avio ” with a whopping price of Rs 3.71 crore (ex-showroom). Lamborghini on Thursday launched the new Huracan special edition Avio for the Indian roads.

The company is expecting in boosting ts sales to double digits this year in India. And, also expects India to be listed among the top 15 global markets in five years after introducing its upcoming SUV ‘Urus’ from 2018.

Andrea Baldini, General Manager Asia Pacific said “ The Indian market is very small for us right now, at about 30 units a year now. But we do know the potential of this market, especially how the demand for SUVs has been increasing.”

“ In India, we can expect our sales to increase three or four times. I won’t be surprised if India becomes among the top 15 global markets for Lamborghini in a span of 5 years.”

Currently, India is at the bottom among 40 global markets with Lamborghini. The company is expected to start selling its new concept production version SUV Lamborghini Urus from 2018 all around the world.

Globally, if once the company hits the global market, Lamborghini expects its sales to be double and is estimated with around 3,500 units totally.

Explaining of its new Lamborghini Huracan Avio bullish outlook Baldini said, “ the profile of the Indian customer is changing. The first generation young entrepreneurs are not shy about expressing themselves. There are interested in owning supercar as compared to 2nd,3rd generation is conservative. There is a quite interesting about the color as the names are taken from the coats-of-arms representing courses offered by the Italian Air Force Academy.”

Sharad Agarwal, Lamborghini Indian head said about Lamborghini Huracan Avio that, “ This is the first time we have brought a special edition car to India to showcase to our customers. We are opening a window of five days for our Indian customers for ordering.”
Only a total of 250 units of Huracan Avio is made globally.

The Huracan Avio is super-powered by a 5.1-liter engine delivering 610 horse power speed and the top speed with 325km speed per hour.
