Contacting Aliens May Be Hazardous To Humans, Warns Stephen Hawking
Stephen Hawking is an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author and Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology at the University of Cambridge.
He is the creator of Movies like Hawking, A Brief History of Time, Beyond the Horizon, and Fate of the Universe. His latest movie Stephen Hawking’s Favourite Places is yet another scientific fiction.
Briefing about his film and launching the Breakthrough Listen project, Hawking warned about the dangers that might come in future once the so called Aliens receive the messages. Making statement more robust, he made a note of Christopher Columbus.
Columbus when first met by the native Americans did not favour them as history is the witness for the happenings later on. Hawking plays a role of a hypothetical flyby of Gliese 832c in his latest movie. Gliese 832c habitable exoplanet located 16 light years away.
Breakthrough Listen project is the research program that enables to scan the nearest million stars for signs of life. This is a part of the scientific research’s to know whether any civilizations exist in space reading our messages which might be billions of years ahead of humans.
There is also an assumption that the other planet living beings are more scientifically advanced when compared to earth living humans. So they might not be so keen about respecting us. They may treat us like we treat bacteria and Something which should thoughtfully taken care of.
This is something surprising to hear from Hawking regarding the Aliens. This is not the first time that he has warned about the Aliens. Stephen William Hawking suggested that there should be enough mechanism with humans that to tackle the future situations when we receive a message from them.
