The Tech Giant will introduce Google Wifi, a $129 home Wi-Fi router, on October 4th

Google is making its move to boost its home networking hardware. Google WiFi, a new router from Google to announce at its pixel smartphones launch event on 4 October.

According to the reports, rumours states that this new 4K-capable Chromecast Home speaker called as Chromecast Ultra may also make its debut in the same event.

As per the sources, Google Wifi router offers connectivity for a long range when compared to the most of the self-routers. These routers are also capable of linking together and create large wireless networks.

The new wifi devices said to be a companion of Amazon Echo-rivalling was previewed at I/O conference and is scheduled for a further unveiling on October 4 and costs around $129 (Rs. 8600 approximately)

The feature which stands highlight in this new product is that it can pair up with other devices to offer easy ways to extend your home network all through the home for a better network coverage in few out of reach places.

The functionality of the device is similar to Eero which mainly means working to extend the network with minimum fuss. However, it is not clear at the moment whether the product is a part of Google’s OnHub router family or not.

It is also unknown about how this will mix with the existing OnHub routers but offer few of the same ‘Smart features. Google’s plans for its Daydream VR project might reveal in the event.
