This may also be seen as a change in the company’s strategy to boost up sales and mark its domination when compared to its competitors. This might also be the result of the new president for SCM (supply chain management), Mr. Mayank Jain taking the charge.

Snapdeal has made his appointment officially. He is leading the charge from the present Senior Vice-President - Operations, Mr. Ashish Chitravanshi. Jain promoted as President from his previous position as Assistant Vice-President and Head of Seller services. He joined Snapdeal in 2013, March for the mentioned post.

The previous work experience with top firms like ITC, Urban Touch and Fashion and You might boost up the sales of the company from now. As per V-P and Head of Categories, Mr.Saurabh Bansal’s statement, the company is lining up with a broad range of products.

The discounts are also significant. The margins of discounts are up to 70% with hourly deals. Categories like home appliances, electronics, mobiles, home furnishings, furniture, and FMCG will be a big range of products that lure the buyers.

Snapdeal is dealing with the delivery system too. It has announced the delivery and logistics capabilities strategy also. Snapdeal Gold opts the super-fast deliveries and free shipping facilities. DIPP has issued the guidelines concerning the discount percentages.
