Yoga Guru and brand ambassador of Patanjali,Ramdev Baba said that they would soon launch the diary products portfolio into the market and expected to clock a turnover of Rs. 5 lakh crore milestone by 2022.

Ramdev Baba has attended the seminar in Karnal and the theme of the seminar is ‘Indian Dairy and Food Sector: Way Forward to Meet Future Challenges.’ He gave a message to ‘ Swadeshi ’ and praised the Amul brand, one of the leading companies in the dairy sector.

“Patanjali is set to enter the dairy business and in this financial year, production will start in three dairy plants - one each in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh,” Ramdev said while addressing a two-day national seminar at National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal (NDRI).

He also added that at present, the dairy business is pegged at Rs. 3 lakh crores, but by the year 2022 it will increase up to Rs. 5 lakh crores. He praised the NDRI for their efforts in improving and later he visited NDRI facilities and witnessed the demonstration of milk adulteration detection kits which are developed in the Institute.
