Facebook WiFi will let the customers check in by participating in the businesses for the free WiFi access. Facebook is probing the Pages to list the WiFi locations for their physical addresses. We can ensure that Facebook is asking to maintain this information as the backbone and display the accurate results for the users.

As per the reports one of the spokespeople for Facebook said: “To help people stay connected to the friends and experiences they care about, we roll out a new feature that surfaces open Wifi networks associated with nearby places.”

One of the social media directors has observed this feature. This feature is live in the iOS Facebook application. To view this feature, scroll through the menu and you will find the option to ‘Enable WiFi.’  Once you turn on the feature, you will get the access to the nearest point. The access points will also direct you to the store apart from it will mention getting connected.

The more nearby locations Facebook can bring forward, then the better quality of real-time information regarding the sharing, news, and viral video content becomes popular and reaches to the users.

Things are still unclear that Android user is going to receive this feature or not? In iOS, this feature hasn’t rolled out for everyone so far. Some of the users have received this testing update. The wireless network supplier iPass has revealed some interesting things about Wi-Fi after conducting a survey. WiFi has been branded as an essential daily need in human’s life with 4 out of 10 persons giving more importance than other human habits and necessities like Alcohol, sex, chocolates, games, etc.

According to the Survey, people want WiFi more than sex and alcohol. The study has carried out by iPass which surveyed 1,700 working professionals across Europe and the United States about their connectivity habits. However, the iPass revealed shocking news about the study and how people addicted to smartphones and electronic gadgets in their daily life. It took a report from more than 1,700 people about their lifestyles and favorites.

According to the report, Interestingly, Wi-Fi was considered as the most significant need in daily life by 40.2% of accused. The study also involved asking respondents to rank the importance of Wi-Fi against other daily needs on a scale of 1-4, with one is most important while four is least important.

What the study found according to the Survey?

40.2 percent of participants chose WiFi as their first preference in daily essentials and labeling it as a higher priority than sex (37 percent), Chocolate (14 percent) and alcohol (9 percent). Nearly 75 percent of respondents said that Wi-Fi plays a vital role in their daily life and also improved the quality of life. 63 percent of participants preferred Wi-Fi hot spots rather than using mobile data.

Pat Hume, Chief merchandising officer, iPass said, “Wi-Fi service is not only the method of internet connectivity, but it has also exceeded many other human needs and necessities.”

Especially smartphone users are always connected at all times whether at home, traveling, at hotels, bus and railway stations and in flights also. A few years back, WiFi is the unknown thing and now, it became daily essential in human’s life. The reason behind WiFi’s growing factor is the power it has had on our daily lives. Seemingly, unlike sex, sweets, chocolates and alcohol, the spread of internet connectivity seems to have had a mostly positive effect, with three-quarters of respondents saying WiFi had improved their quality of life.As per study, people also make travel decisions according to the WiFi connections.

Google’s New WiFi Router to Be Unveiled at Pixel Launch Event at $129


The Tech Giant will introduce Google Wifi, a $129 home Wi-Fi router, on October 4th

Google is making its move to boost its home networking hardware. Google WiFi, a new router from Google to announce at its pixel smartphones launch event on 4 October.

According to the reports, rumours states that this new 4K-capable Chromecast Home speaker called as Chromecast Ultra may also make its debut in the same event.

As per the sources, Google Wifi router offers connectivity for a long range when compared to the most of the self-routers. These routers are also capable of linking together and create large wireless networks.

The new wifi devices said to be a companion of Amazon Echo-rivalling was previewed at I/O conference and is scheduled for a further unveiling on October 4 and costs around $129 (Rs. 8600 approximately)

The feature which stands highlight in this new product is that it can pair up with other devices to offer easy ways to extend your home network all through the home for a better network coverage in few out of reach places.

C-Dot WiFi Technology Gets a Nod from Indian Railways

Indian Railways approved Wifi technology of state-owned Centre for Development of Telematics (CDOT). Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha tweeted “C-DoT WiFi Technology got approved by Railways.”

Indian railways are providing free wifi service at busy stations. He transport giant has collaborated with Google to provide free wifi at 100 stations by the end of this year.
