Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation for the third time from the ramparts of RedFort on Monday. Commemorating 70th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about 90 minutes. His speech touched upon the achievements made by his government over the past two years. He stressed that unity is the only way to move the country forward. He once again echoed the end of social discriminations, and no violence will be tolerated in the country. PM Modi called countrymen to make continuous efforts to realise our dream to make India “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”.

PM Narendra Modi Independence Day speech stated his rerouted policy on Pakistan with aggressive comments. He referred Pakistan Human rights abuses its large province of Balochistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. He mentioned that the people of those areas thanked him for drawing attention to their troubles. Modi claimed the struggle to decrease the violence caused after killing 22-year old terrorist Burhan Wani in Kashmir valley by security forces on 8 July. Wani emerged as a top recruiter for Hizbul Mujahideen in recent years. Despite the plunging relations, Home Minister Rajnath Singh flew to Islamabad to attend a summit of SAARC, earlier this month.

 “India is not 70 years old, but it is a journey of 70 years post-colonial rule. After Independence, we made efforts to take the country forward under a new system. Sardar Vallbhai Patel unified the country, and now it is our duty to make this country as the best nation. To attain Good Governance, everyone has to fulfil its responsibilities, be it a Panchayat or Parliament, be it a Gram Pradhan or a Prime Minister, to strengthen every democratic institution. Only then, India will not take too much time in realising the dream of Good-Governance.” Said, Prime Minister.

He also addressed that freedom has not come without a price, and endless atrocities were there, but the resolve was unwavering. “This is not only an outline. It is a commitment for transformation. This is a confluence of people’s expectations, democracy and people’s support. This is a desire and also consent, this is a momentum and also expression of progress.” Said Modi.

    Modi called the citizens of India to move ahead with a new energy, new resolve, new hope and new vigor on the occasion of Independence Day. He also mentioned that the persons who sacrificed their lives and their work for the country would be an inspiration to fulfil our responsibilities. “We should move ahead for the realisation of one society, one dream, one resolve, one direction for achieving our goals. With this thought, once again I pay homage to the great persons, the soldiers who put in their lives in danger to protect us, remember the sacrifice of 33,000 persons, and dream of the future of the country and dedicating myself today,” Said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
