1st semi-final: Patna Pirates beat Puneri Paltan 37 – 33

Defending champions Patna Pirates successfully defended their title against Puneri Paltan in the first semifinal of Pro Kabaddi League 2016 season 4. Pirates topped the points table ended this season with a winning streak having ten wins.They have just lost four matches out of the total 14 matches. Whereas Pune entered to the semi-final with six wins from 14 games and they stood at the fourth spot to qualify for the play-offs after defeating Bengaluru Bulls.

Manjeet Chhillar captain of  Pune didn’t found much success in this season.They had lost to Patna in both the matches they have played. Patna Pirates was successful under the leadership of Pardeep Narwal, and they defeated Pune by six points in their first meet.

The semi-final one between these teams was very exciting, and it has gone down to the wire.Patna has managed to clinch a thrilling three-point victory keeping Pune on the losing side again.

Semi final 2: Jaipur defeats Telugu Titans 34-24,enters final

Jaipur Pink Panthers beat Telugu Titans in the second semi-final match at Hyderabad.Being one of the favourites in this season, the Telugu team had disappointed the crowd by losing the match at their home ground.

The Pink Panthers shows up a  scintillating display of both attack and defence to Knockout Telugu Titans.Jaipur team has recorded a ten point win with 34-24 confirming its berth in the final of the Pro Kabaddi season 4.

In the first half, both teams had locked horns with super tackles and raids.At Half time the Hyderabad team is on lead with a point.Telugu team had collapsed suddenly in the early second half which cost them the game.

Jaipur team mixed aggression with caution in the second half.They started the latter half with two back-to-back tackles, while Jasvir scored with a scorpion-kick eliminated Rahul Chaudhari. He then returned to remove one more member on the next raid.Within no time the Pink Panthers bundled in Hyderabad’s last man to get an all-out and three points.

After the All-out, the Hyderabad had made a minor comeback with four back-to-back points, but it was too late as Jaipur already scored enough to secure a comfortable win in the end by a ten-point margin.

It will be really interesting to watch the final match between the Patna Pirates and Jaipur Pink Panthers.We have to wait to until the final match to know whether successful Patna able to defend their title or the Jaipur Pink Panthers would emerge as the new champs of Pro Kabaddi league 2016.
