Well, who knew? Not only do we have a mother’s day but apparently mothers also have a special day specifically allocated to being lazy. National Lazy Mom’s Day occurs on first Friday in September every year. It is the day for moms to celebrate doing nothing without feeling guilty of it. In other words, it is a day to simply lazy. This year it falls on 2nd September. But National Lazy Moms Day is celebrated on 5th September.

Even on Mother’s Day, moms across the world clean, cook, generally work hard to keep their households clean. On Lazy Mom’s day, moms are encouraged to relax, take a backseat and simply be lazy. The truth is that most mothers can’t afford to lazy. From morning until the kids hit the bed moms are up and restless.

Moms around the world celebrate this day in different ways. The majority view the day as a holiday for laundry, dishes, car pools and bathroom cleaning.  Because we know most of the mothers would find it hard to actually come up with ways to sit and just be lazy.

If all mothers are out decided to fulfil the lazy moms day, it could potentially cause the outbreak of World War III, particularly when mothers are left with clean up following one day of tools down.

How can mothers be lazy? Get the children to bring you breakfast in bed, get your husband to drive to work, or make the kids take the bus to school rather than dropping at school gates. Best of all these, order the food and have a night off from cooking.

Kids have to encourage their moms to take a day off. No needs to buy a present for her just provide her some peace and quiet will be enough. There are so many ideas to celebrate this day such as take a nap, once the kids are off to school simply get back to bed and enjoy a few hours of uninterrupted snooze time. Have an elaborate breakfast, or just enjoy the cup of coffee. Forget about laundry, and give yourself the day off from all household works.
