SanDisk 400 GB microSD card unveiled; claims to be the highest in the segment

SanDisk 400 GB microSD card:SanDisk has announced new microSD card with a memory space of 400 GB. The company believes that the 400 GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card is the world’s highest-capacity microSD card for mobiles. This new SanDisk 400 GB microSD card can store up to 40 hours of Full HD video and is capable of a transferring files with a speed of 100 MB per second.

The new 400 GB microSD card can transfer up to 1,200 photos per minute (average file size of 3.5 MB) with USB 3.0 reader. SanDisk states that the card meets the A1 app performance specification which helps in faster app loading.

The 400 GB microSD card price listed for $249.99 in the United States. It is made available for online purchase on the SanDisk.com website. On the other hand, the company is providing a 10-year limited warranty on the high microSD card.

SanDisk claims the first to announce the first 200 GB microSD card back in 2015. Also, the company has unveiled world’s first 1TB SD card. The 200 GB microSD card comes with a 10-year warranty and is priced at Rs 7,300. It was launched at $399 (approx Rs 25,000) in 2015.

200 GB microSD card could hold up to 20 hours of Full HD videos and is also capable of transferring around 1,200 per minute. Sandisk said that the 200 GB microSD card provides 90 MB per second. Besides that, it is waterproof, shock proof, magnet proof, temperature proof and X-ray proof as well.

Western Digital Technologies owns SanDisk and Officially Approved from MOFCOM

The latest announcement from the SanDisk Corporation says that the  Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) has approved the acquisition of SanDisk Corporation by Western Digital Technologies Inc., SanDisk will be wholly owned subsidiary of the WD Inc.

Both the companies are headquartered in California and performing the operations from the decades.The transaction happened between the word’s largest storage manufacturer and third leading flash memory manufacturer in the world. WD has acquired the Sandisk with $19 Billion and the per each share worth up to $86.90.

The complete Process of the Acquisition will be expected to finish on May 12th, 2016.The company has completed all the approvals which are required for the acquisition have been received and all the transactions are going to end on Thursday.
