Zuckerberg is constantly commenting on the cases of VR uses beyond entertainment and games. The company is going to make Oculus a VR platform for many other experiences after games.

“Imagine enjoying a courtside seat at a game, studying in a classroom of students and teachers all over the world, or consulting with a doctor face-to-face — just by putting on goggles in your home. By feeling truly present, you can share unbounded spaces and experiences with the people in your life. Imagine sharing not just moments with your friends online, but entire experiences and adventures,” Says Zuckerberg, in a blog post.

Facebook also has a team of employees who works on those types of “social” Virtual Reality experiences exploring the future. This group will explore the VR technology and gets how people can connect and share using it. The team will also explore the long-term possibilities as VR is evolving to be a primary computing platform.

They’ll work with other teams and Oculus to build a foundation for future’s social VR experiences on all platforms. VR will enable even more types of connection in future. Oculus will evolve gaining an ability to provide a feel like our friends who live in different parts of the world, are really there with each other. Let’s see what Facebook has stored in the event, and this could be the beginning of the next chapter.
