Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is an autonomous agency in India which started its operation from 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS). IBPS started conducting Common Written Exam (CWE) for the recruitment of Probationary Officers and Clerks in Indian banks since 2011.

A huge number of candidates have applied and successfully taken the Officer Scale-I Preliminary exam at all pre-allotted exam centres on mentioned dates. For the Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant, the officials will conduct Prelims and Mains exam. And for Officer Scale-II and III, the officials will conduct direct mains examination.

The Officer Scale-I preliminary exam consists of two sections, Reasoning and Quantitative aptitude.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: This section consists of 40 questions on Approximation, Number series, Quadratic Equation, Data Interpretation, Time and Date, SI, Averages. As far the IBPS RRB Exam Analysis 2016 concerned, the paper is given in moderate to tough.
  • Reasoning: This paper covered 40 questions on Inequalities, Syllogism, Puzzles & Arrangements and Miscellaneous. The entire section is conducted for 40 marks and this paper is easy to moderate.
