World Humanitarian Day takes place every year on 19 August in honour of Humanitarian aid workers who stand on the front lines of disaster and war, who risk even their live in humanitarian service. The day is especially dedicated to the one who mobilise people to support a cause for a more humane world. Designed by the General Assembly seven years ago, the day was coincided with the anniversary of the bomb blast of UN headquarters in 2003.
