Nike’s Self-Lacing Sneakers Will Soon Hit the Stores


Remember the self-tying shoes worn by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future II movie? Nike was rumored to develop real-life sneakers for years, but now they are going to hit the stores. Nike is going to release Self-lacing sneakers named Hyperadapt 1.0, with a limited release beginning on 28th November at selected Nike locations.

Heidi Burgett, the company’s PR Director, tweeted that the “Hyperadapt 1.0 will hit the stores in the US at selected Nike retailer locations. Appointments to experience and purchase are available from 28.11.2016.”

Hyperadapt 1.0 has an internal cable in the fishing line and also pressure sensor on the sole. It was designed with ‘algorithmic pressure equation’ so that cables will be tightened when you put your foot into the shoe.


There are buttons on the side to tighten and loosen the grip. It will be available in two colors, white and black. The shoes are pretty sophisticated with LEDs on the heel, which lightens up when shoes are tightening and also when the battery is low means you have to charge the shoes.

It will take not more than three hours to charge, and it lasts up to two weeks. This pressure sensor will activate the self-lacing technology in the heel, and it automatically conforms the shape of the foot.

The magnetic clip-on charger will be provided to top the shoe battery life. You can see the thick nylon laces on top of the sneakers, and they are just visual aids. There is no announcement has made up to now about the price tag of the Nike Hyperadapt 1.0, but you have to expect they won’t be available at low price.

Italian Exotic and Superbike manufacturer Ducati have lunched their new model Multistrada 1200 Enduro in India. As per the Delhi ex-showroom, the price of this bike is 17.44 lakh. The company already has the significant presence in the large sports and leading in the motorcycle category with the existing two 1200 and 1200 S models.

The Managing Director of Ducati of India, Ravi Avalur says, ” In 2016, with the Multistrada 1200 and 1200 S we are already the leaders in the large sports touring motorcycle category. We felt this was the right time for us to introduce the Multistrada 1200 Enduro for adventure motorcycling enthusiasts,”

This Multistrada 1200 Enduro is powered with Euro 4 compliant engine which is delivering about 160 bhp. The special feature in this model is, it has both off-road and on road riding capability. The tank comes with 30 liters fuel capacity.  Ducati claims that Multistrada 1200 Enduro has a range which can exceed 450 KM.

Apart from this the other features in this super bike are cruise control, Hands-Free ignition and back-lit handlebar. This bike also have the LED cornering lights which illuminate the roads on the corner entries and the vehicle is capable of holding control system which hold the braking and assists the uphill starts or when the bike is fully loaded.
