Disney launches its social messaging app for kids

Disney has come up with a solution for all the parents who are fed up with the Parental Guidance apps. Kids these days are drenching in the digital world and are active in each medium of social connectivity. The main worry for a typical parent nowadays is, mobile phones overtook the purpose of communication and took control over child’s life.

Disney announced its version of social app ‘Disney Mix’ which enables to chat, play and share. This new social messaging app is safe and family-friendly for kids. A recent study estimates more than 90% of teens are spending about 7.5 hours a day on average to access Digital media. This app ensures parent a very safe and violation free chat when their kid is using the app. Entertainment giant, Disney developed an app very user-friendly, and it allowed access for children of “4+” age.

Disney Mix assures a high-end privacy messages can be exchanged only when a user approved the request from that member. Users can have the option to follow official Disney accounts, which keeps them updated about new Disney channel content, movies, videos. Etc. Disney has taken special safeguard to prevent issues like online harassment to provide a neat chat app.

“You can only send messages to someone if you have both accepted a friend request. Disney Mix has filters in place to make chats safer. Inappropriate chat, language, and personal information will be blocked by these filters and you’ll see dashes instead of words when something is blocked,” Disney mentioned in a description.

Violation of community guidelines can be reported quickly just by a tap on “whistle” icon in any chat window. The reported conversation will be sent to Disney’s moderator team and after a review, the violated user will be served a temporary or a permanent ban from the chat app. Apart from text messages, Disney Mix also allows parents and kids to play interactive games and share stickers.

Presently it doesn’t support photo and video sharing, and it is expected to be available in the next update. The developer made the app available on Android and iOS platforms.

The app is quite easy to use and allows users apply filters to the existing videos in the gallery and also enabled to shoot through the app using the camera. Limiting its time duration to just 10 seconds might leave users in a bit disappointment, but it is more than excusable considering its process for output.

Prisma for Android is now Available Officially

Unlike Prisma, Artisto offers a faster delivery when it applies the filters. A buzz is that the app is unable to add filters to the videos in the gallery, but performing well when a video is shot through the app. Unfortunately, Artisto is not available for Android users across all regions in the world at this moment, but it is available for iOS users in the App store. Developers are making plans to release the app for Android users in all regions, and it is expected to roll out soon.

AKTU to Introduce Mobile App in Abdul Kalam’s Memory

To mark the first death anniversary of our legendary ‘Missile Men of India,’ Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former Indian President and scientist, APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is all set to arrange a two-day youth seminar on environment protection.

In memory of the ‘People’s President,’ a mobile app will be launched on Tuesday by the honourable Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Ram Naik at the AKTU. The app is designed to provide free short-term educational courses which give information about villages, social and national development, scientific thought and Indian Constitution.

 Facebook’s Messenger has more than 1 billion users. Just two years after its spilt from main Facebook app, it is seated on the world’s top three apps. It’s been four years since the company launched its Messenger application, and finally brought 1 billion active users.

 Facebook Messenger became one of the leading platforms to connect with the people and businesses. According to the company research, FB Messenger involves in playing games, sending payments, sharing jokes, etc. which stood among top reasons for the recent milestone. Facebook released a new emoji in celebration of its new milestone. A new floating balloon emoji could be a gift that users can send to their contacts to celebrate the moment. Beginning this year, Messenger added a new option. Now, users can seek an answer to a question over chat boxes.

Facebook Introduces OpenCellular, A Open Source Wireless Access Platform  

 It is reported that Facebook made a platform for 10% of VoIP calls globally. Instagram, facebook’s photo-sharing service noticed a decent gain with more than 500 million users. According to Facebook, more than 1 billion messages, 17 billion photos, more than 4000 stickers are being sent between people each month through the messenger app, doubling over the past year.

Ever since the messenger was launched, over 18,000 chat bots were signed up with more than 23000 developers for assisting users.
