Xiaomi reveals another smartphone in Redmi series at an event in China. The much anticipated ‘Redmi Note 4’ will be the first to offer MIUI 8 out of the box. The phone posses a metal uni-body designed with chamfered edges and 2.5D glass at the front. The polished finish of the phone can be mentioned for a premium smartphone look.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio X20 SoC with ten CPU cores (two Cortex A72 at 2.1GHz, four Cortex A53 at 1.8GHz, and four Cortex A53 at 1.4GHz). Redmi Note 4 sports a display of 5.5-inch 1920 X 1080 pixels Full HD with much-needed 2.5D curved glass. The manufacturer made the device available in two variants, an internal storage of 16GB paired with 2GB of RAM is provided in one variant. And a 64GB internal memory with 3GB is packed in another variant. Memory in both the variants is expandable via provided microSD card slot.

The device runs on MIUI 8 based Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.  Dual SIM option is provided with a combination of one micro and one nano/microSD SIM slots. The smartphone flaunts a primary camera of 13 MP with PDAF and dual LED flash. A 5MP front-face camera is provided for shooting selfies. Connectivity options include revised Type-C USB, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi. Apart from the specs sheet, the device offers Fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor which interests users. Redmi Note 4 packs a powerful battery of 4100mAh which ensures usage of more than a day. Headset measures dimensions of 151×76 X 8.35mm and weighs 175grams.

Redmi Smartphone Spotted Online, Likely to be Redmi 4

Redmi Note 4 will be available in Gold, gray and silver colors. Xiaomi is planning to kick start its sales of new Redmi Note 4 in China from 26 August. Price for 2GB /16GB variant is CNY 899 (Rs. 9,000 approximately) and is tagged CNY 1199 (Rs. 12,000 approximately). There is no information regarding the launch of the mobile in India and other Asian countries.
