Yahoo Mail Mobile App gets Caller ID ,Photo Sync Features

Yahoo on Tuesday launched Caller ID and photo upload features for its Yahoo Mail app that will help users identify a caller from their email contact list and also access their phone camera roll on a desktop.

The new features are now available and users can update Yahoo Mail app in the App Store (iOS 4.13) and Google Play (Android 5.13).

The new Caller ID feature will show a user who is calling even if the number is not saved in the smartphone, the company said in a statement.Yahoo Mail uses contact information from emails.

Yahoo Launches New App for Yahoo Answers for iOS Users

As soon as a user contacts you, the contact’s name will surface with the call and Yahoo Mail will update names in your call history or when you dial.

To enable this feature, simply go to Settings, then Phone, forward to “Call Blocking and Identification“, toggle the switch for Yahoo Mail and save the settings.

Once the new photo upload feature is enabled, your recent camera roll photos will be instantly available when accessing your Yahoo Mail account on desktop. To enable this feature user’s need to open the Yahoo Mail app on iOS or Android, go to Settings, then, Photo upload and tap the “Upload photos” toggle.

One Million Android Phones Infected by Hackers

Two hacks have happened on more than a billion accounts. The Sunnyvale, California blamed late 2014 on a hacker affiliated with an unidentified foreign government but said it has not been able to identify the source of the 2013 intrusion.

At present Yahoo have billion number of active users every month, in that some of them have multiple accounts. Now due to these attacks, accounts are affected.

These hackers have stolen the passwords in both attacks. Technically those passwords must be secure, they are scramble twice, once with an encryption and another by the technique called hashing. But hackers have cracked the security passwords and by assembling huge dictionaries of similarly scrambled phrases and matching them against stolen password databases.

Yahoo Company is requesting users to change their passwords immediately, users who are using the same password for online transaction please once check your account details and quickly change the security password.
