The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a yearly event of hill climbing of famous motor racing vehicles. The event was hosted in the grounds of Goodwood House, West Sussex, England usually in the month June or July. The event would be featuring legendary cars, Bikes making it an eye feast to all the Racing fans.

Glastonbury Festival 2016: The Complete Picture of Performing Events

The date of this Motor racing festival is scheduled in a way to avoid collision with the F1 season. This makes all the Formula one cars, motorbikes to participate in the event.
The festival was first launched in the year 1993 by Lord March with the aim to bring motor racing back to the Goodwood estate — a location steeped in British motor racing history.

In 1990 after acquiring the land Lord March thought of bringing the Motor racing to Goodwood Circuit, but he didn’t have required permits for hosting a race in that place. So, he hosted the event on his grounds with a small selection of entrants made up of invited legendary vehicles, the first event that took place on Sunday 13 June proved to be a success, bearing in an attendance of 25,000 despite a collision with the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year.
After the date clash in the first event, March made sure that the festival wouldn’t be colliding with other activities like Le Mans or Formula One races.
In 1994 by adding Saturday, the Festival was made a weekend event and a year later in 1996, the weekend event was further extended as a three-day event adding Friday. In 2010, the Moving Motor Show was added on Thursday.

This year the Goodwood Festival starts from 23rd of June and comes to an end on the evening of 26.The festival is coming up with a theme called “Full throttle – the endless pursuit of power.”
The Mega Event gives Automobile Enthusiasts a chance to watch the Motorsport action, brand new cars, and legendary cars and closely and also meet their favorite racers. Each year, thousands of people all over the world attend the event on grounds of Lord March’s Goodwood Estate.

Glastonbury Music Festival will take place in Somerset, England, which inaugurated in the year 1970. The festival would be usually held on the  last week of June every year. It’s a five-day event, this year’s event starts on 22 June 2023 and ends on 26 June 2016.

England’s New Plastic Banknotes Coming with a flaw of sticking together

Bank of England has admitted that their new plastic banknotes are prone to sticking together which means that the shoppers may met with a risk of handing over two at once.

The reason for sticking of notes is the fresh polymer coating on it. It can lead to people paying accidentally twice when clearing the cash bills.

The new £5 note will be the first plastic Note to be circulated, and it will be featuring United Kingdom’s former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill on it. The Plastic note was showed off on Thursday, which was scheduled to launch in September.

The presently used paper £5 notes will be withdrawn formally in before the release of the new polymer £10 and £20 notes in 2017.

According to the public opinion introducing the plastic currency is not a good idea. Since many of today’s transactions are being done using digital cash and in the form credit/debit cards. So it is a waste of time and inevitably cause inconvenience to the people.

Experts also warned that plastic notes would create some problem with the senior citizens since they may not notice the sticking nature of the notes.

On the other hand, the officials of the Bank of England arguing that the new plastic notes will be rigid, sturdy and can sustain for a longer period than the paper based ones and they are more secured than the former ones since duplication can’t be done easily.

The Bank also stated in an official Q&A that   “No banknote is counterfeit proof. The question is how difficult it is to counterfeit actually. “

“The techniques required to produce high-quality counterfeit polymer notes are slow, expensive and require a high level of effort and technical expertise.

They also stated that the problem of sticking together would exist only for a short span of time and would be eradicated once they get older by usage.

According to the announcement the new plastic notes of £10 and £20 would feature novelist Jane Austen and artist JMW Turner on them. With the release of these plastic notes, Britain would be entering into the list of countries that are already using the plastic notes.

She gave birth to the triplets, and they are genetically identical. She also mentioned things happened to her is the biggest shock of her life.

The 23-year-old Becki-Jo Allen said, “I had been being very sick and had a terrible headache so I booked an early scan. It was the biggest shock of my life! We haven’t got any triplets in the family, so it came completely out of the blue.”

The boys were ten months old now they have the three-year-old toddler. The names of the kids are Rocco, Roman and Rohan.
