It seems like the tug of war between telecom companies in the country is not coming to end. With the latest announcements releasing by Reliance Jio, major service providers are introducing new tariff plans and revamping their existing plans. The state-owned telecom network BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) launched new data plan for Rs. 249.
As a counter to Reliance Jio Summer Surprise, BSNL offers 10GB Data per Day upon recharging with Rs. 249 as part of its Unlimited Broadband. In addition to this, BSNL subscribers can also get unlimited free calls to any network only on the specific period.
The calls to another network are free but the offer comes with a period of 9 PM to 7 AM. More or less the night calling is may not be very usable for the customers. However, only on Sundays calling is free for the whole day. Apart from that, the data speed offering by BSNL won’t compete with other telecom networks.
The Data Speed for the plan will be limited to 2Mbps, and there is no confirmation about the dropping of the speed if the limit exceeds. The 10GB Data per Day offering by BSNL can consider as one of the cheapest data plans that any service providers are offering currently.
Reliance Jio extends the date of enrolling to the Jio Prime Membership to 15th April 2017 by paying annual recharge of Rs. 99. With the initial purchase of Rs. 303 or other plans of higher amounts will get the services free upto July end as a part of Summer Surprise.
