Samsung Pay App Launched in India: Detailed Process of Using the new Payment application

South Korean giant Samsung has unveiled its Samsung pay App in India after its Early access Programme. Also, it acts as an issuing partner for American Express cards at the early stage of missing. Samsung has collaborated with MasterCard, Visa and American Express who act as gateways. Currently, the mobile payment service supports HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, Standard Chartered Bank cards and Axis bank, soon will support Citibank India.

Also, the Samsung Pay service will be rolled out to Samsung S3 smartwatch too. Samsung pay also has Paytm integration besides the tap and pay on registered cards. The Paytm integration allows you to pay by scanning QR codes, generate OTP for peer to peer money transfers and merchant payments.

“With Samsung Pay, we give our consumers the smartest way to make digital transactions by far. Samsung Pay App is highly secure through the signature KNOX Platform, fingerprint authentication, and tokenization. We have partnered with major banks and card networks to give our consumers the widest range of choices, and are working on bringing more and more partners on board soon,” says, Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President of Mobile Business at Samsung India.

Samsung Pay works with Samsung’s original Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technology plus Near Field Communication (NFC). MST duplicates a card swipe with wirelessly transmitting magnetic waves from the Samsung device to a standard card reader.

Samsung pay will work seamlessly on a majority of Point of Sale terminals in India through MST. This includes three level security- fingerprint authentication, card tokenization and Samsung KNOX (Samsung’s security platform).

Artificial Intelligence is the next big thing to happen in the world of smartphones. There are already a few out in the market and are providing next-level experience for the users. Tech giants like Apple has come up with Siri and Google has also unveiled Google Assistant. Besides these, Microsoft’s Cortana also made its debut in the recent Windows 10. Samsung claims that the Bixby isn’t just a regular smart assistant who answers just your basic questions. The smart assistant is designed in such a way that it understands the way you use it and act accordingly.

If a user is unaware of how the assistant works, Bixby enabled apps will perform the tasks on users call. To be simple, it understands what you are looking at and helps in performing the actions. However, Bixby smart assistant resembles Google Assistant and aims to change the behavior with touch commands. This might not be a perfect smart assistant from Samsung to replace Google Assistant. Bixby might not have the data, and with this, Samsung is trying to get the most out of devices.

This eventually results in making the user experience a far much better. Samsung is planning to get the Bixby to other devices like TV, wearables, etc. in the coming years. Reports say that Bixby can be launched with the help of a physical button notable in the coming Galaxy S8. In addition to this, Samsung is also planning third-party developers for expanding the Bixby capabilities further.

Now they made the availability of smartphones in India where the pre-orders has already started on Samsung e-store and offline retail stores.

Korean company Samsung has announced the Galaxy Xcover 4, a rugged smartphone meant for rugged outdoor use. It is the successor of Galaxy Xcover 3 which was introduced back in 2015. Xcover 4 will be released in April, priced at 259 Euros (Rs 18,200 approx.).

Samsung has been unveiling many non-flagship mid-range smartphones this year such as 2017 Galaxy A series. Samsung’s Galaxy Xcover can withstand drops, water, dust and extreme temperature.

Galaxy XCover 4 is guaranteed by the IP68 and MIL-STD 810G certifications. This smartphone features a 4.99-inch display, 720p, LCD panel and Xcover 4 runs on company’s own Exynos 7570 SoC. It mated with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal memory, expandable with microSD.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Tablet, Gear VR and Galaxy Book Announced

Many smartphone manufacturers made their presence at the MWC 2017 to showcase their products. The South Korean company Samsung is on the list of presenting their amazing products at the event. The company showcased Samsung Galaxy S3 Tablet, Galaxy Book, Galaxy Gear VR and Galaxy 8 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

In addition to this, Samsung also announced the official release date of its next flagship model Samsung Galaxy 8. The company held a separate event in Barcelona on 27th February where various tech personalities and mainstream journalists around the world attended. Samsung announced the news about Samsung Galaxy S3 Tablet, two foldable notebooks, a Samsung S Pen and the new Samsung Galaxy Gear VR controller.

The electronics giant showcased their new Samsung Galaxy S3 Tablet which sports a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED 2K HD display with a screen resolution of 2048×536 pixels. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S3 tablet powered by a 2.15 + 1.6GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor and coupled with 4GB of RAM. The tablet packed with internal storage of 32GB and expanded up to 256GB using microSD card.

In the optics department, Samsung Galaxy S3 tablet equipped with 13megapixel with LED flash and on the front, it bears 5megapixel selfie camera for selfies and video calling. For the virtual lovers, the company comes with Samsung Galaxy Gear VR. The new device sports bundled remote controller which works with smartphone and depends on accelerometer and gyro for the movements on screen. The Samsung Galaxy Gear VR packs with 1000mAh battery, and it works based on home, back, touchscreen and volume keys.

Samsung Galaxy Book

The Korean giant also announced its new two laptops, i.e., Samsung Galaxy Book would launch with two versions which are available in 10.6-inch and 12-inch models. The 10.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Book sports TFT LCD full HD display, and the other 12-inch model bears 2K Super AMOLED display. In terms of Chipset, both the models powered by 7th Generation Intel Core i5 processor and clubbed with 4GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Book boosted up with extra 64GB/128GB internal storage respectively which can further expandable up to 256GB. For the optics section, the 10.6-icnh Galaxy Book packs with 5 megapixel front camera and the 12-incher bears 13megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front-facing camera. However, the company doesn’t make any announcement regarding price list of the models.

Samsung Galaxy Book of both the models comes with additional connectivity options such as two USB Type-C ports, WiFi ac and also LTE support. Both the books powered by Windows 10 and packed with a battery which aims to provide 10.5 hours run time. These are perfect for those who are looking for a compact laptop like usage of the tablet.

Apart from these, the company unveiled its end-to-end portfolio of 5G mobile network products. It includes consumer devices for fixed wireless access connectivity, Next-generation Core Network, a 5G Radio Base Station and much more. It also showcased the 5G RFIC and ASIC modern chipsets for 5G network infrastructure. Finally, the Korean company announced the official launch date of Samsung Galaxy 8 at an event held in New York on 29th March 2017.
