Nintendo to roll out The Legend of Zelda on Android and iOS platforms

Nintendo is planning to bring The Legend of Zelda to iOS and Android as early as this year. However, as per reports, the release date will not fall anytime near. The Legend of Zelda for smartphones will follow the mobile debut of Animal Crossing Nintendo’s long-running social simulation series.

“The people familiar with the matter said the Animal Crossing smartphone app is likely to be released in the latter half of 2017, and The Legend of Zelda would follow that, although they cautioned that the timing and order of the releases could be changed. Nintendo is developing the games with Tokyo-based DeNA Co. Representatives of Nintendo and DeNA declined to comment,” writes the Wall Street Journal.

Nintendo Fire Emblem Heroes to Launch First on Android

It’s no surprise that Nintendo wants to capitalize the series return to form considering how well The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild did on the Nintendo Switch. The Legend of Zelda and the animal crossing will follow the Nintendo’s line up. This line-up includes Miitomo, Super Mario Run, and Fire Emblem Heroes which were released on both iOS and Android platforms.

Pricing for The Legend of Zelda on Android and iOS platforms is yet to be unveiled. Since Super Mario Run is a one-time purchase, others like Fire Emblem Heroes are free-to-play with microtransactions.

Some Android and iPhone users complain about the £7.99 price tag for Super Mario Run. While others say that users should support premium games by reaching for their wallets.

Nintendo has finally unveiled Super Mario Run for Android users after prolonged pre-registration. This nostalgia video game was rolled out to mobile users across the iOS platform last year. The users have experienced the Super Mario Run on their iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Now, the game is going to be available on Android Platform as well starting this March 23.

Nintendo of America has tweeted about the launch date of Super Mario Run for Android. The popular game comes with version 2.0.0 update teases few new features. The update allows unlocking world 1-4 in the free version by completing a challenge and also allow playing as new characters. Nintendo has opened pre-registration for Super Mario Run page on Google Play since early December.

“For us, we view our software as being a very important asset. For consumers who are purchasing the game, we want to make sure that we’re able to offer it to them in a way that the software is secure, and that they’re able to play it in a stable environment,” says, Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Run creator.

The company explains about the delay for launching the game on Android Platform is to do with privacy. Whereas, iOS is a platform where there is nothing much to worry about the security. Super Mario Run launched on iOS made huge earning over $50 million as of now. Now, expanding the game for Android platform could make more revenue considering the Super Mario fan base.

To play the game, users require an active internet connection. It isn’t free game, and you only have access to few levels if you play for free. However, the company will charge to enjoy all the levels of the game.

Nintendo Fire Emblem Heroes to Launch First on Android

After successfully launching the Super Mario Run on iOS, Nintendo announced other smartphone game title Fire Emblem Heroes. This is the latest series of long-running tactical which was officially announced by the gaming giant.

The company announced the title in the month of April alongside new entry Animal Crossing series. However, upon releasing the Super Mario Run, both ultimately pushed back due to its enormous response. Nintendo scheduled to release the Fire Emblem Heroes game on 2nd February 2017.

Interestingly, unlike Mario game which first released for iOS devices, the company announced to release Fire Emblem Heroes first for Android devices. According to the reports, the game release in Google Play on 2nd February and it will free to download with optional in-app purchases. Nintendo slated the game arrive first on Android and the iOS availability later.

Fire Emblem Heroes game is about two kingdoms who are in a bitter clash. It is a tactical strategy game in which players can select famous heroes in the Fire Emblem universe. And have to help them to fight against their enemies.

While playing the game, players won’t have any issues of getting hang as the Fire Emblem Heroes Streamlined for on-the-go play.
