Uber is one of the largest online transportation service in the world, So far Uber work with road transportation. Now Uber is on the next move, and Water Transportation is initiated, and the service is called UberBOAT. This new form of transportation is initiated around Cannes. The Ferry users can avail this service to travel from Cannes to St Tropex, Monaco or the Lerins Island.

The service will be available from 21 June to 26 June 2016, 9 am to 9 pm within the existing Uber application.

The both pickup places Cannes’s marinas have been designated as possible pickup points by the Uber. The charges are starting from 300€, and the UberBOAT can carry up to 12 passengers. Therefore, the round-trip from the Cannes to Monaco will cost €1,000 and takes two hours according to the given statement released by the company. Additional €4/minute is charged for the longer usage respective to the passengers wish.

In fact, this service is performed by Wajer; a Dutch shipyard builds the GRP boats which are 37-38 feet long. These are built under the collaboration with the Vripack. These two models from Vripack Company Wajer 37 and Wajer 38 can attain the maximum speed of 45 knots and the cruising speed of 28 knots. This is not the first time for the Wajer to provide this kind of services along a high profile event, s their boats often seen acting shuttles at the Yacht show of Monaco.

  • Once your request is confirmed, you will be asked to meet at a pickup point (see below)
