Minho's starring movie 'Grandmother Gye-Choon

Minho fans are waiting to see his big screen debut through ‘Grandmother Gye-Choon’. On April 15, SM Entertainment confirm that Minho will play opposite “Cheese in the Trap” actress Kim Go Eun in the film Canola (Grandmother Gye-Choon) and now the movie is finally going to play in theatres on May 19th.

Plot

The story is about High School girl, who is a troubled teen with a scarred mind and a Secret. She is reunited with her grandmother, Gye-Choon( Youn Yuh-Jung) after 12 years. SHINee’s Choi Min-Ho plays the Hye-Ji’s (lead female Character) childhood friend and help her adjust to the country life.

Minho oppa has acted in famous television dramas as the lead in “To the Beautiful You” and supporting actor in “Medical Top Team”. This will be his first time acting in a full-length feature film.

On the scenario, he said, “I was really touched by the scenario, so I wanted to participate. I talked a lot about the character with the director, and he believed and supported me, so I could be comfortable”. Minho also added, the lead actress Kim Go Eun and I were same age, so I was able to act comfortably around her. I have a lot to learn from her”.

The director Chang said, “Minho knows how to give warmth. I was taken in by his passion and sincerity toward acting.
