Lenovo-owned Moto has rolled out two new Moto Mods for its modular Moto Z smartphone. Mophie battery mod and Incipio car dock mod were launched for the modular phones. The Mophie battery mod is another backup mod from the company priced at $79.99 (Rs 5500 approx.)

Mophie battery mod for Moto Z series phones packs a massive 3000 mAh battery. It is bigger when compared to earlier battery mod. Mophie claims that the mod will increase 60 percent more battery to the phone. The latest battery mod sports an indicator light and comes with a USB Type-C port for charging.

The Incipio car mod is a car dock that enables to stick it to the back of your phone. Like any other mod, it is attached and then allows you to clip it the car’s air conditioning vent. Insipio mod connects to the car’s audio system and also charges the phone.

The Incipio car dock mod holds the phone in vertical or horizontal position. The phone launches Android Auto app once the phone is docked. Incipio car dock mod is priced at $65 (Rs 4500 approx.)

Lenovo is planning to launch more mods in the coming year and also said that it would launch four mods each quarter. Motorola is also organizing an Indiegogo campaign to encourage mod development.

Motorola launched the Moto Z smartphones in India in October. Moto has launched JBL SoundBoost mod, Insipio battery mod, and Insta-share projector mod at that time. Later, the company has added Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod to the range.

Lenovo-moto is selling the four Moto mods in India, and the prices range from Rs 6999 to Rs 19999. The concept modularity has impressed Indian users and thus the price in India is a bit high compared to other markets. Moto Z Play has priced Rs 24999 and Moto Z sells for Rs 39999.
