Demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes not only affected ordinary people but also hits the popular e-commerce websites Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal. After the announcement of the ban of old 500 and 1000 notes, leading online shopping portals stopped COD orders especially Amazon stopped COD option while Flipkart and Snapdeal have limited orders to Rs. 2000 only.

Now, nearly after nine days, Amazon had enabled Cash on Delivery (COD). If you want to buy someone and click on the COD option, then you will get a message like this “We accept all valid notes, including newly launched Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes.

On the flipside, both Flipkart and Snapdeal have also removed restrictions on its orders. Earlier, both e-commerce web portals have limited the COD option for orders below Rs 1000 and Rs 2000 respectively. Now both the vendors have allowed COD as a payment option. The online shopping giant Flipkart has also mentioned that new Rs 500 notes issued by RBI after November 10 will be taken by our delivery boys if available.
