Central Board of Secondary Education is known as CBSE. It has taken the responsibility to conduct examinations. This National eligibility cum entrance test is conducted to give admissions in the medical courses of MBBS and BDS across India. After qualifying in this exam admissions are given to the students according to the marks secured by them.

The NEET exam is conducted in the form of objective type for 180 questions on the subjects of physics, chemistry, zoology and botany and the duration of exam is 3 hours. The question papers are given in the languages of Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.

NEET 2017 Instructions to be followed in the examination hall: 

  • The examination will start on 10’0 clock. After 9:30 no student is allowed to the examination hall.
  • Candidate should carry admit card along with affix photograph, postcard sized photograph to affix on proforma, and one passport-sized photograph to affix on the attendance sheet
  • Students should follow the dress code at the examination hall. Students should wear Light clothes with half sleeves not having big buttons, brooch/badge, flower, etc. with Salwar/ Trouser and no shoes are allowed, only sandals or slippers
  • No accessories or ornaments like earrings, chains, watches are not allowed to the examination hall.
  • The pencil is not allowed to write the exam. Candidates have to mark the questions with blue or black point pen.
  • Water bottles, coffee, tea and other snacks are not allowed to take into the examination hall. Water will be provided at the examination centre only.
  • No student is permitted to leave the examination hall until 1’0 clock
