All India Football Federation president Subrata Dutta on Thursday said that organizing FIFA U-17 world cup is the toughest task.

Dutta Told, “The Overall growth in Indian football starting from public to talent searching going global to referees and coaches development has resulted in recognition from AFC at their annual awards as the most developing nation in Asia in 2016.”

“Due to increase in substructure and amenities reaching to such heights and substantial raise in standard of the national teams all the football lovers may have high hopes to see India as a football power to estimate with shortly only if we come out with flying colors in our final exam in 2017.”

The Youth attraction event will start from October 6 next year and continue till October 28. On July 7, the draw will be there. Six venues have been approved which include Kolkata, Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Guwahati, Kochi, and Goa.

“For Indian Football, 2016 was the year of preparations to appear in the final exam in 2017,” stressed Dutta when asked. The U-17 team, under coach German Nicolai Adam, has been a cheerful spot with their performances abroad catching the eye. The BRICS cup show against Brazil was the highlight.”

“Charities of Goan Clubs cannot be denied. Their shying away from I-League has been a blow to Indian football which has been much recompensed by the inclusion of new corporate sides like Chennai City FC and Minerva Punjab FC.

There are slots for six national supporters or sponsors to come on board besides FIFA partners. At the moment, five are vacant with Bank of Baroda taking one of the places.
