Google play Music doesn’t seem to limit its catalog in India. Besides Bollywood artists, Play Music offers streaming of Metallica to folk metal bands like Eluveitie and mainstream acts like Ed Sheeran. Surprisingly, the service offers most music on Spotify which costs nearly 10 times higher than this service
Google Play music all access is going after Apple and established players like Saavn. Apple music is now live in India over a year, and Android users are using it as well. As Android user base is about 97 percent in India, it will be easy for Google to market this music app.
The service works both on Android and web and allows you to download music for offline listening. The price of subscription starts at as low as Rs. 89 per month which is acceptable in a market like India.
