Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a UPI (United Payments Interface) based BHIM app on Friday. This Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) app is a straightforward UPI app, which allows making simple digital payments directly from the bank account. Unlike wallet, this UPI-based app lets’s anyone make or receive payment through online banking, whereas wallet services require loading money before using it.

“Be it a smartphone or feature phone of Rs 1,000-1,200, BHIM app can be used. There is no need to have Internet connectivity. One only needs a thumb. There was a time when an illiterate was called ‘angutha chchap’. Now, time has changed. Your thumb is your bank now. It has become your identity now,” says PM Modi.

Aadhaar Payment app launched: Process of using the App to make digital transactions

A user can pay or receive money by just scanning QR code. All payment done using the app are secure through the network of Unified Payment and instantly gets credited into your bank account. How to download BHIM App:

After completing the installtion of BHIM app process, the user has to register his/her bank account to the app and set up a UPI Pin for it. Once you get register with the Application, you can start making transactions by using BHIM app.

Besides the app, users can access interface by using USSD from feature phones. Dial *99# from your feature phone to access it. However, you don’t need any Internet connection for this method.

How to use the BHIM app to send or receive money?

How to Check Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana if You Won

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced two new schemes Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana for consumers and merchants to boost digital transaction in India and to make the country as cashless economy soon. The customers and retailers can win money under the schemes through a lucky draw.

The winners under these plans can get a minimum of Rs 1,000 through a lucky draw. The winners will be picked up on a daily basis under Lucky Grahak Yojana scheme and merchants who have won under the Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana will be announced every week. The government has introduced the two schemes to incentivize citizens for using cashless payment methods and it will run until April 14, 2017.

If you want to participate in Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana, you must have to make payments digitally through the following modes like UPI (Unified Payment Interface), Rupay, AEPS (Aadhar Enabled Payment System), and USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data).

If you are using mobile wallets, debit or credit cards, then you won’t be eligible for the newly launched schemes Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana. Also, to be eligible for the Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana rewards, you must make transactions between Rs 50 and Rs 3000. People those who make purchases above Rs. 3000 will not be eligible for the rewards in this scheme.

If you have done digital payments using UPI, Rupay, AEPS and USSD, then you can check to see if you have won the reward under Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana.

Steps to find out if you have won under Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana

  1. Go the website digidhanlucky.mygov.in
  2. Click the button based on whether you are a customer or merchant
  3. The check box appears and type your mobile number registered with your UPI/USSD/Rupay/AEPS account
  4. OTO will come to your registered mobile number and enter the OTP in the box that appears in the middle of the screen
  5. Click the button “Try your Luck”
  6. Then message will be appeared if you have won under Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana

If you have done a payment via the above mentioned methods but get the No information available message. You can provide more details such as your card number in case of Rupay, VPA for UPI transactions, Aadhar number for AEPS and mobile number for USSD payments.

Lucky Grahak Yojana Rewards

Under this scheme, 15,000 customers will get Rs 1,000 each daily. Weekly prizes will be worth Rs 1 lakh, Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000 and it will be allocated between 7,000 consumers. On April 14, the mega draw will be conducted and will have prizes of Rs. 1 crore, Rs. 50 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. The government will announce total of 100 winners for USD payments, 1,500 winners for UPI and AEPS transactions, and 11,900 winners for RuPay.

Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana Rewards

7,000 merchants per week stand to win rewards of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 2,500 each week from December 25,2023 to April 14,2017. The mega draw will be conducted on April 14, will have rewards worth Rs. 50 lakh, Rs. 25 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh.

To boost the cashless economy and given improving digital transactions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two schemes named Luck Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana for consumers and retailers alike to endorse mobile banking and electronic payments. Constructing his last monthly address this year in his Mann Ki Baat Program, he said there is a lot of curiosity in the country to know what is cashless, how cashless business can take place and how can you make the purchase without using cash.

To boost the digital transactions, reinforce mobile banking and inculcate the habit of making e-payments, the Government has introduced two new schemes for both consumers and traders today. To encourage customers, Lucky Grahak Yojana scheme has been launched, and for retailers, the scheme is Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojana.

Speaking about the new projects, Modi said, “The new plans for traders and consumers launched as a Christmas gift and through a draw system, 15,000 people will get rewards, whereby each of the 15,000 winners will have Rs 1,000 in their accounts.
