Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has introduced two mobile applications named ‘Arising Kerala’ and ‘Whistle Now’ on occasion of the International anti-corruption day

He also said “We had taken this step to eradicate corruption completely in the society. With the coordination of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau we created this Anti Corruption mobile application”

Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajpathi Raju has launched the AirSewa portal and the mobile app as an initiative step to address the problems of flyers related to travel, flight delay, refunds, lost baggage and other things.

The aviation ministry said that the new interactive web AirSewa portal and mobile app has made available for the both Android and iOS users. In a bid to help the travellers, the government has come up with this portal and mobile app to provide a comfortable and hassle-free travel experience.

“AirSewa is an initiative to offer people a convenient and hassle-free air travel experience,” said by the Ashok Gajpathi Raju. He also added that it is necessary to recognise the problems of people facing and make sustainable systematic improvements.

The Ministry has elaborated to the passengers that they can now able to register their grievances through a web portal or mobile app. “Nodal officers have been selected for all stakeholder agencies, who will address the complaint in a time-bound manner.”

“Each grievance shared will be directed to the responsible nodal agency for resolution based on the claim category chosen by the complainant.” the Ministry said in a statement.

IRCTC Partners with MobiKwik on E-cash Payment

Have you tired of entering all the details in order to book your train tickets especially while booking tatkal tickets? Good, news for the people who will book their tickets through e-cash payment. In a process to control the tatkal rush, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and mobile app MobiKwik joined hands as an alternative payment solution for booking tickets.

MobiKwik claims that users can pay the amount with the wallet within two seconds, whereas it takes five minutes to more than ten minutes in other modes of payment. Now apart from paying via credit cards, net banking and other wallets, users can pay directly through the MobiKwik wallet while booking tickets.

“MobiKwik collaborated with Indian Railways to digitise payments on the IRCTC app and IRCTC FoodOnTrack app this year, and now we are powering payments for Tatkal online, that will help users book tickets almost instantly” UpasanaTaku, Co-founder at MobiKwik said in a statement.

This newly implemented e-cash payment method will eradicate the need to fill all the card details and wait for the bank approval for payment through authentication. IRCTC will directly detect the amount from your MobiKwik wallet without any authentication.

Of course for this also user have to install the app and should have money in the wallet for easy and fast payment. Tatkal is a service provided by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation to book the tickets one day earlier to the date of journey.

The MobiKwik claims that around 15 percent of daily booking for Indian Railways are happening through tatkal and this method of e-cash payment option will help the users as a fast payment method to beat the rush. People who want to facilitate this service can visit the IRCTC official website and can book their tickets using MobiKwik between 8 AM to 12 PM IST (Indian Standard Time) daily.

Making the paper work much more minimum, Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Chief Digital Officer, Mr. Deepak Sharma has announced that customers from now can open new accounts through their smart phones. This is something that is happening for the first time in India.

As per the statement, customers willing to open a new account in Kotak Mahndra Bank need not go physically to the bank nor submit any papers. They just have to download the Kotak Now mobile app and use it for the purpose.

All the documents that are required for opening a normal account are needed for this also. But the difference is that, the customer need not go to the bank physically carrying all the photocopies of the required documents.
