The new Badass is right now in the city now to make some exotic noises. All new Porsche 911 GT3 RS has launched in India. German Sports car manufacturer company Porsche’s “definitive track car for everyday use”, was grandly unveiled at Porsche Centre Bengaluru in India yesterday.
Porsche hails that “the race car for the circuit and daily driving” and the 911 GT3 RS brings the best of both road-legal sports car and race cars.
This new car from Porsche is a masterpiece of intelligent lightweight design gets a roof made of magnesium and uses carbon fiber to the engine and the luggage compartment lids along with the other lightweight components made of the alternative materials which allow the model to save almost 10 KGs when compared with the previous model 911 GT3.
This model gets its body from the 911 Turbo with the characteristics with the unique front wheel arch air vents which extend into the upper section of the wings which are just as in the motorsport cars. They will increase the downforce at the front axle. Additionally this 911 GT3 RS comes with the widest tyres whereas other 911 models arrive with standard ones.
The interiors are based on the present Porsche 911 GT3 version; it comes with the new and important feature with full bucket seats which are based on the 918 Spyder’s carbon bucket seats. Other standard features are included with the Club Sports Package with a bolted-on roll cage behind the front seats. This model is separately provided with the six-point safety harness for the driver and fire extinguisher with mounting bracket.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS comes powered by a 4.0-litre six-cylinder engine with 494bhp and 480Nm of torque which shows the Porsche’s motorsport heritage and technology. This car is reproduced with the specially developed PDK transmission which can accelerate from standstill to 100 Km/ h in 3.3 seconds and 200 Km/ h in 10.9 seconds.
This model also affords the functions such as the as declutching by ‘paddle neutral’ this means comparable to pressing the clutch with a conventional manual gearbox and the speed limiting by the Pit Speed button which have been customized for the motorsport use.
