Much awaited Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus has been unveiled at MWC 2017 in Barcelona. Both the Moto G5 and G5 Plus get the design update which is more interesting to see on the latest Motorola. These latest smartphones from Motorola come with a metal chassis and a circular frame which packs camera at the back. Moto G5 and G5 Plus Specifications gets an update when compared to its predecessors. However, Moto manages to keep the price within reach and to compete in the segment.

Lenovo is planning to launch the Moto G5 and G5 Plus in India somewhere in the mid of March. Amidst the fact that India is considered as one of the important markets for Motorola. Also, India stands as the second top selling Motorola devices with 10 percent of overall sales. The company also launches the device in various markets which include the US, and UK as well.

Discussing the specs, Moto G5 and G5 Plus comes with fingerprint scanners just below the display. Interestingly, the Moto G5 series gets the Google Assistant which stands as a highlight. Other Motorola exclusive features like Moto Display, twist gesture, Moto Actions takes place in the Moto G5 range. On the other hand, Moto G5 Plus brings a new one-hand mode which is slightly bigger than the Moto G5.

Moto G5 Plus

Moto G5 Plus features a 5.2-inch full-HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by the 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone is available in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM variants depending upon the regions. Moto G5 Plus offers 32GB or 64GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 128GB with MicroSD card.

On camera font, Moto G5 Plus sports the most advanced’ 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash. Other camera options include a f/1.7 aperture, dual autofocus, and 4K video recording. Another 5MP camera is provided on the front. The Moto G5 Plus is backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery with TurboPower charging feature. Moto claims that the feature gives you six hours of battery life in a charge for 15 minutes.

Moto G5 features a 5-inch full-HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. The device is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 processor paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone will be available 2GB or 3GB RAM models with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be expandable up to 128GB with the microSD card.

Coming to camera department, Moto G5 packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and dual-LED flash. 5 MP wide-angle front facing camera is assigned for selfies. The Moto G5 is backed by a 2800mAh removable battery with fast charging support.

Both the smartphones run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. As of now, we don’t have any info regarding the Moto G5 Plus price in India. But the price of EUR 199 roughly converts to Rs 14,000. Similarly, Moto G5 Price in India will fall around Rs 19,500 considering the price of EUR 279. Moto G5 Duo will be available in Lunar Grey, and Fine Gold color variants. It is more interesting to see what Lenovo offers by the time of Moto G5 and G5 Plus launch in India.
