Facebook is focusing on changing its app features and releasing on Android platform. Reports say that several changes are making their way over the past few weeks which include HD video upload option on the Android app. This HD video option is present on the iOS app since the past two years. Along with this, Facebook brings few other updated features to Android users which iOS users are experiencing since a long time.
Facebook now allows to watch floating videos, another feature observed both on Android and iOS. Next in the lineup is, it provides a new interface to browse notifications, it enables you to choose video playback quality on the Android app and to save videos offline for later viewing. Coming to the desktop, the social networking giant is testing on a chat-like interface for commenting on posts.

Starting with the HD videos, the feature is present on iOS since a long time and made its presence in the Android app now. However, some users observe change on the general Android app, while it is found available in the beta channel for others. The feature is to be rolled out soon, and you can turn the feature on by adjusting settings.
Floating videos feature allows scrolling through your News Feed and browsing the Facebook app while the video will keep playing in a floating widget. ‘Draw over other apps’ permission in the Android setting, lets the floating video widget run outside the app.

Next feature is to select the particular video quality ability on the Android, just like YouTube. Adding to this, the Facebook new feature allows you to save videos offline for viewing later when Internet connectivity is lacking.
The feature resembles YouTube’s offline video and Netflix which offers same functions. Facebook also launched ‘Save video’ feature earlier, which bookmarks the video to watch it later using the Internet. ‘Saved’ tab of the app lists the offline video. The feature is now available for both regular app and the beta app Android users.
