The War of Telcos continues to Prevail after Jio extending it’s preview offer. To counter Reliance Jio, another telecom giant Airtel came up with a free internet plan for 12 months. Now it’s Birla’s Idea Network’s turn to counter Jio.
Following the foot steps of Reliance Jio,Idea Cellular network is planning to launch its digital Idea app suite, which contains different apps similar to that of Jio Apps. The Telecom Network had rolled out media invites for the event on 30th of January.
In the press invite Idea also says ” that the launch of the Digital Idea apps is part of its transition to becoming a pan-India mobile broadband operator and full service digital solutions company.”
Himanshu Kapania, Idea Cellular Managing Director, said, “As we leapfrog from being a voice and data services provider to becoming a full-service digital solutions company, we continue to deliver on our promise of ‘changing lives’ and become the catalyst in fueling the Digital India movement.
He added that “For a nation driven by entertainment, Idea is starting its Digital journey with the launch of a suite of apps across Movies, TV, Music, Games, etc. among others to match the soaring demands of the “on- the- move” online generation.”

According to the information, the Idea is planning to launch jio like app competitors. The content apps would be like Idea Chat, Idea Games, Idea Videos, and Idea Music.
By launching these apps, Idea cellular Is taking the clash of telcos to the next level. The idea says that These apps are aimed at the “on-the-move online generation”. The Aditya Birla’s Telco is in thought that with these apps and a host of pre-loaded media streaming will provide higher data consumption by the user.
The higher the data used by the user, the more revenue can be achieved from the data services. Idea cellular is looking to get strengthened in the app department where Reliance Jio is leading the market followed by Airtel. Jio has JioMags, JioXpressNews, JioNewspaper whereas Airtel has Wynk Music and Wynk Movies.
Hoping that Idea’s plans of launching Digital Space would encourage it’s User base and giving fierce competition to Jio and Airtel
