After Jio was launched, the other telecoms also started to introduce low-budget plans for data and calls. Indian state-owned BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) announced a new plan of Rs. 249 called BB Unlimited 249. The offer avails the users with 300 MB data per month and also free calls during the night time.

With Gadgets 360, a BSNL executive announced this Rs. 249 plan and the validity of the offer is six months after that it will be converted to Rs. 499 plan. With the newly implemented plans, BSNL is giving a healthy competition to Jio. 

BSNL official site stated that the plan would be available to users until March only, but the executive said that it would be extended for some time.

The users who availed the Rs. 249 plan will be awarded 10GB data with the 2Mbps speed with FUP 10GB, and after that, the speed will be 1Mbps. The offer is valid in all the states excluding J & K and Andaman and Nicobar regions. However, the data that is remained unused in that 10GB will be forwarded to the next day also.

The offer claims to provide unlimited calls between 9 pm to 7 am only, and the executive confirmed that the offer is also available on Sundays and the calls are free to any network in India without any additional charges. The minimum validity is a month (28 days).

BSNL always starts a new plan attracting its subscribers and now because of Jio and other Telecoms, BSNL planned well to give a strong competition and implemented this plan. Even last month also it announced a free 1GB data to the users who hasn’t used data yet.
