BMW G310R, the first India-made BMW motorcycle is being produced at TVS Motor plant in Hosur near Bangalore. Probably, BMW G310R would be the smallest capacity motorcycle BMW made in the recent years. This Made in India motorcycle will also be exported to Australia, Europe, and other countries in Asia.

BMW G310R will be the first manufacturing built under the BMW-TVS JV formed before last year. This JV will launch the new-age TVS and BMW motorcycles in the sub 500 cc segment. BMW G310R claims the first of these and has already spied on test in India. The new motorcycle was first showcased in Brazil last year.

G310R is powered by a 313 cc single cylinder oil cooled engine which delivers 34 PS power and churns out 28 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. BMW G310R is inspired by a stunt bike concept and features an aggressive stance and a short wheelbase.

On testing, It’s made to pass through the urban jungle of today without any fuss also it takes those twisties during the weekends. The mono-shock rear suspension, upside-down front forks, fully digital instrument control, 17-inch alloys wrapped with Metzeler tyres, LED side indicators few more are the highlights of the G310R.

BMW expects that the latest G310R will take on the Bajaj Dominar 400, Mahindra Mojo, KTM Duke 390, CBR 250R. Price in the UK starts from £4,290, BMW G310R price in India will be around INR 1.8 lakh. However, it may vary by the time of launch in India.

Coming to the much-talked issue, BMW G310R comes with Akrapovic exhaust. The company has released the audio loop of it on official Akrapovic Instagram account.
