BMW 5 Series Cars: German luxury car maker BMW is all set to launch new 5 Series in India on the 29 June 2017. The car maker has started in production in India at Chennai plant. The company has started assembling BMW 5 series in India back in 2010 and is now continuing its era. The new-gen 5 series comes to India as a Completely Knocked-Down version assembled at Chennai plant.
On the other hand, the luxury car manufacturer is accepting bookings for BMW 5 series has across its dealership chain in India. Customers can book the beast for a token amount of Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh and deliveries are expected to roll out in the month end of July.

All new 5-series was unveiled last year in the global market and as promised, the car made its way to India. However, new BMW 5 series impressed users across all markets and believed best to be driven on Indian roads. Discussing its design, the 5 Series borrows its design cues from 7 series. Besides that, the updates 5 series is a bit bigger that it’s predecessor and drops the weight around 100 Kgs.
There are a bundle of changes you come across in the new BMW 5 Series. The updated model now comes with gesture control, adaptive suspension, remote parking system and 4-zone climate control, electrically adjustable driver and passenger seats. Then again, M-Sport variant of the 530d is expected, and more details on the same will be revealed at the time of launch.
New BMW 5 Series is expected to be rolled out in three engine variants. First, comes the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder oil-burner that will make 187 bhp, which we’ll see on the 520d. The next variant boasts 3.0-litre, in-line 6 diesel churning 261 bhp on the 530d. Lastly, 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine which will churn out 249 bhp on the 530i. All the engine variants will be coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

This new improved version of BMW 5 series will compete with the likes Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Jaguar XF and the Volvo S90 in the segment. However, it would be interesting to see more of its features after the launch.
