The Big Bang 2019 Show was an enthralling event over the weekend. Combining the glamour of a Broadway Musical with the charisma of a school play, the team of Bangalore Chorus won over the audience in no time.

Here is a low-down if you’ve missed the show.

The Bangalore Chorus is a strong 125-member choir that showcased some of its best talents by performing over a medley of English and Bollywood songs. With a team comprising of 3-year olds to veterans nearing 60, the show was a sure-shot winner with the audience. Directed by the talented duo Maya Mascerenhas and Judith Roby Bidappa, the show had solo performances as well as duets where the audience joined on a musical journey.

Apart from the great music, the concert had costumes designed for each of the songs. There were leather jackets and even bomber jackets with a hint of pink that suited perfectly on the performing ladies. The best part of the costume designing was how the veterans were able to carry off tattoo sleeves for their ‘Rock On’ performance.

The show was such a winner that at the end, it almost got a bounce in the audience’s feet as they hummed and smiled while walking out from the venue. Some of the memorable parts of the performance were the tributes to A R Rahman and Shankar Ehsaan Loy from the Bollywood music industry. Finally, Bangalore Chorus bowed down to the cheering audience as the great evening came to an end.
