Reliance 4G VoLTE vs Airtel VoLTE
Reliance Jio entry into the telecom circle made sleepless nights to the other leading mobile network operating companies like Vodafone, Airtel, and Idea. As we know Reliance Jio is a subordinate of reliance industries that provided wireless 4G LTE services.
It is the only mobile operator which provides VoLTE support in the country that covers all 22 telecom circles in India. However, another leading mobile network operator in the country Bharti Airtel is preparing Airtel VoLTE launch in India.
According to the latest reports Airtel has already signed a big deal with Nokia with a $60 million (Rs. 420 crores) to launch VoLTE in India by the end of this year. By this deal, Bharti Airtel is going to counter new 4G service provider Reliance Jio Infocomm with VoLTE services.
Airtel had already offered a small contract to Nokia to test VoLTE technology in a few areas. After successful testing, the leading telecom operator has signed a 420-crore deal with Nokia to Provide Airtel VoLTE services before the end of this year. According to the reports, Airtel is now looking at a bigger Volte service launch by giving a Pan-India contract for IP multimedia system to Nokia.
As we know, Reliance Industries newcomer Reliance Jio is currently providing free voice and data services to its users in the country. Reliance Jio VoLTE has not been able to make any impression in the market due to interconnection issue with neighboring telecom operators like Vodafone, Airtel, and Idea.
Currently, Bharti Airtel offers 4G services in 19 circles except for Assam, UP, and Jammu Kashmir circles. Apt from Airtel, Vodafone and Idea are also in the queue to launch VoLTE services in India.
