Adobe collaborated with NVIDIA built the worlds’ first 3D Oil Painting painting simulator naming Project WetBrush

A Researcher has come up with new software that lets you predict how you look with different hair colours and hairstyles. This software can also help you to find a missing child or some person. Yes, you would no longer try a new hair cut or colour physically without using this cool software called ‘Dreambit.’

Dreambit has been developed by researchers Ira Kemelmacher-Shlizerman, from the University of Washington, Seattle. The new software was drawn on an earlier research conducted at the UW and somewhere else in facial processing, recognition, 3D reconstruction and age progression. Dreambit was developed by combining the previous algorithms in an unusual way to create the blended images.

How do I try it?, Is this your question? Don’t worry, all you need to do is upload a photo in the application and in search type a term such as “curly hair,” “India,” or “1930’s”. The software system then analyses the photo uploaded and search for the internet collection that matches the selected category of style and automatically match the person’s face, expression, pose and shape.

The ability of the software to instantly and accurately joining two photographs is due to the combination of algorithms assembled by the Kemelmacher-Shlizerman, and the perfect photos available on the internet. “While imagining what you’d look like with a new hairstyle is mind blowing, it also lets you experiment with creative, imaginative scenarios,” said Ira Kemelmacher-Shlizerman, co-leads the UW Graphics and Imaging Laboratory (GRAIL).

The software as explained earlier also helps to identify missing children or any person by exploring how they look like if their appearances have been changed, or you can also check how they might appear after a long time. “With missing children, people often dye their hair or change the style so age-progressing just their face isn’t enough. This is a first step in trying to imagine how a missing person’s appearance might change over time,” Kemelmacher-Shlizerman added.

The software is expected to release later in this year. Well, the first results of the software will be showcased at SIGGRAPH 2016, the World’s largest Annual Conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques scheduled from 24th July to 28th July at Anaheim, California.
