Firefox Focus Now Available in 27 Languages for iOS

As a contribution to International Data Privacy Day, Mozilla Firefox announced the Multi-language support. The company mentioned that its privacy browser Firefox Focus is now available in 27 languages for iOS devices. It automatically blocks all the trackers as users navigate around the web.

Firefox Focus is a part ongoing drive that provides users more control over the web experiences. Along with the browser comes with an update which features ‘Erase’ button at the top of the app. This feature erases all browsing history, cookies, searches and passwords instantly. Moreover, from onwards users can browse privately in 27 languages. The list includes:

Arabic, Azerbaijani, German, Czech, Welsh, English (United States), Esperanto, Spanish from Spain, French, Indonesian, Spanish from Chile, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Kabyle, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Ukrainian, Songhay, Slovak, Swedish, Turkish, Slovenian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

Data Privacy Day Stresses the Importance of Online Security

The company added the option for Firefox Focus users to change their default search provider. This is similar to the experience on the Firefox on iOS and Firefox on Mac or Windows desktops and laptops. The initial rollout of the Firefox Focus commenced in the month of November 2016.

Mozilla says its latest feature was designed to mark Data Privacy Day on 28th January. The Nick Nguyen, Vice President of product at Mozilla said, “Mozilla’s community teams hustled to localise all these language versions in time to hit an aggressive launch timetable, and we are so grateful for their help.”

Just a few days back, the company launched Firefox 51 for Mac, Windows, Android and Linux. It brings warning for the HTTP websites that collect passwords. The company also added the new option that allows the users to open the web page in Firefox or Safari instead. Beside of adding 27 languages, Mozilla now allows the users to set Firefox Focus as their default browser.
