New 2017 Harley-Davidson Street Rod to be launched in India soon

Harley-Davidson India is going to launch a new motorcycle the 2017 Harley-Davidson Street Rod. The manufacturer has listed the motorcycle on the official website along with the details. This new Harley-Davidson Street Rod is based upon the earlier Harley-Davidson Street 750. The company claims that the new Street Rod offers a modern and slightly different aesthetic approach.

New Harley-Davidson Street Rod has borrowed its design cue’s from the discontinued XR1200X. You also observe few cosmetic changes like new headlight cowl, split seat and rear cowl. The drag-style handlebars with bar-end mirrors list the other updates in the design.

The motorcycle gets a 13.1-litre teardrop fuel tank and an updated exhaust system for a more throaty sound. The Harley-Davidson Street Rod gets the same 749 cc V-twin engine of Street 750. But this is a new High Output Revolution X v-twin unit which produces more peak torque of 62 Nm at 3750 rpm. The engine is painted black to meet the design theme, and you also observe some chrome accents.

The Street Rod weights 5 Kg heavier than the Street 750 and measures kerb weight of 238 kg. 43 mm inverted forks and piggyback reservoir rear shocks are assigned for suspension duties. The longer travel suspension gives a sporty look and is more responsive in urban road conditions.

New H-D Street Rod comes with 17-inch cast aluminum wheels with 300 mm twin discs in the front. The new motorcycle from Harley will be launched officially soon, and Harley-Davidson Street Rod price is unknown yet. Harley-Davidson has unveiled its latest Road King Special Edition in the USA. The latest Harley range comes in 4 new colors with no chrome. The bike skips the windscreen and gets 9-inch tall ape hanger bars.

The chrome part of it is replaced by black themed surface. The new lowered profile Harley Davidson Special edition enters the realm of neo-classical custom baggers. The guards, engine covers, exhaust and its shields, air-box covers, all these bits turns black now. The engine rocker boxes, pushrod tubes, and the tappet blocks get the chrome finish.

Vivid Black, Charcoal Denim, Hot Rod Red Flake Hard Candy Custom and the Olive Gold colors are the four new colors on offer.

American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson has launched line-up of motorcycle for 2017 models in India. The premium bike maker has added two new vehicles to its range - the Roadster and Road Glide Special. The new range of Harley-Davidson includes Anti-lock brake system which is standard in all the 13 models. New price range at Rs 4.91 lakh and goes up to Rs 50.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Roadster hails from Sportster family and comes with fastback design inspired from traditional race bikes targeting the young riders. The motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled 1200cc V-Twin engine coupled to a five-speed transmission which delivers peak torque of 103Nm at 3,750rpm. Roadster is equipped with a 4-inch digital instrumentation and is tagged a price of Rs.9.70 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
