Harley-Davidson has unveiled its latest Road King Special Edition in the USA. The latest Harley range comes in 4 new colors with no chrome. The bike skips the windscreen and gets 9-inch tall ape hanger bars.
The chrome part of it is replaced by black themed surface. The new lowered profile Harley Davidson Special edition enters the realm of neo-classical custom baggers. The guards, engine covers, exhaust and its shields, air-box covers, all these bits turns black now. The engine rocker boxes, pushrod tubes, and the tappet blocks get the chrome finish.
“The Road King has always reflected the purity of the Harley-Davidson FL riding experience. By exchanging chrome surfaces for black and lowering the bike’s profile, we’ve moved the traditional Road King into a new space that’s very current in the custom bagger scene,” noted Brad Richards, Harley-Davidson vice president of styling and design. “
The Road King Special does look good even in the absence of the shiny chrome. The Motor cycle gets 1,750cc Milwaukee Eight Engine which is 10 percent more powerful than the earlier Twin Cam High Output 103 engine. Vivid Black, Charcoal Denim, Hot Rod Red Flake Hard Candy Custom and the Olive Gold colors are the four new colors on offer.
The Road King claims the lightest Harley in its FL range. Besides the new colors and the no chrome, it gets the new dual-bending valve with Milwaukee Eight engines.
