It’s been expected from a long that Xiaomi to roll out a new variant of its Mi Notebook Air 4G laptop. Now, the company has officially unveiled the latest version with LTE Cat.4 4G connectivity support. Interestingly, the laptops do support telecom operator’s networks without a SIM card.
Xiaomi has also made an announcement of offering free 4G data up to 4GB per month. New Mi Notebook Air 4G is launched in two variants 12.5-inch model and 13.3-inch model.
The 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air 4G is powered by an Intel Core M3 processor and retains full-HD display resolution. The device packs 4 gigs of LPDDR3 RAM and offers 128GB standard storage. The storage can be expandable through a second SSD slot. Other features include Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, AKG dual speakers along with Dolby Digital surround sound support.
The 12.9mm thick laptop weighs around 1.07kg. Xiaomi claims the provided battery can last up to 11.5 hours and the laptop comes with two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the other hand, the 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air comes with a sixth-generation Intel Core i7 processor. At the same time, Xiaomi states that the latest processor is improved by 10 percent over Core i5 in the non-4G variant.
Other specs remain same of its predecessor, 8GB of DDR4 RAM and a 256GB standard storage. Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU with 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM also made its presence in the latest version.
A second SSD slot is included in the 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air 4G variant for further storage expansion. Other connectivity options are same as of 12.5-inch model. The laptop weighs 1.28kg and is 14.8mm thick. Prices for the 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air 4G has been priced at CNY 4,699 (Rs. 46,500 approximately). The 13.3-inch variant has been priced at CNY 6,999 (Rs. 69,500 approximately).
