Youngster wicket-keeper batsman had a great day with his bat the last night. It was a great contest between the Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur. The toss was very crucial as the pitch is batting friendly pitch and is ideal for chasing. Shreyas Iyer- Skipper of Delhi capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first.

There were few changes in the team. Rajasthan Royals missed the best opener, Jos Butler as he has taken off from cricket to see his new born baby.  Delhi capitals had no changes in their team. According to Circle of Cricket- India many overseas players are going off from India as they have to represent their country for their One Day International games.  Rajasthan Royals being asked to bat started off with a great start. Ajinkya Rahane was absolutely brilliant with his bat. They were striking at more than 10 runs per over at the beginning. Jinx and the skipper Steve Smith complimented each other well, managing to take their team to a 190 run mark.

Asking-rate was very high for the Delhi Capitals. The openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw gave a fabulous start for their team. This was actually a match turning moment to be precise. Even though the score was very high, the batters dint get that pressure as the bowling department was not up to the mark. Spinners couldn’t make it as there was lot of dew in the pitch. Spinners couldn’t get that grip to bowl the wrong ones and was thrashed brutally by the Delhi Batsman. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan could make a 100 run-partnership. Rishab Pant’s 78 runs in 36 balls paved the way for Delhi Capitals to uphold their position in the Table. They stand No.1 in the points table. Pant was not included in the World-cup squad for which he felt bad. However, he is still young and has many more years to go in his cricket career.
