Day 9 at Rio was a wonderful day athlete. Simone Biles won the gold medal at final vaults performance. This is her third gold medal.

India at Rio:

Another disappointing day for Indian athletes. Most dreamt medal from Dipa Karmakar could not turn into reality, as she stood fourth in women’s Vaults finals. However, she proved her best, though there was a tough competition from other winning contestants. But she made India proud and stood as the first female to enter into Gymnasium.

Indian hockey men’s team lost against Belgium 3-1.

Kidambi Srikanth won badminton in straight sets. Saina Nehwal loses to world 61 Maria Ulitina thus making an exit from badminton.

Sania Mirza and Bopanna pair lost the bronze medal match
