All new Mahindra Scorpio made a great come back with a new version of Scorpio. Mahindra introduces new ‘Intelli-hybrid’ technology for the new generation Mahindra Scorpio. This home grew auto major took a back step after National Green Tribunal’s ban on Diesel Cars.

 Mahindra Scorpio has got a prominent fan base in compact SUV segment. The manufacturer says the Intelli-hybrid technology reduces the fuel consumption and boost engine performance with electric power during acceleration. This new technology found similar in Maruti Suzuki’s SHVS system appoints a larger battery. The vehicle is equipped with smart technology, and the engine automatically turns off when at halts (preferably at traffic signals). Another notable feature is the engine using the energy generated to recharge the battery. Otherwise, it goes waste in any which way.

 This new technology is available in the major range of Scorpio. Some favourite features like power train and key mechanicals remained same in the Scorpio ‘Intelli-hybrid.’ The main mentionable specification about Scorpio is the first Indian SUV to have Voice messaging system, a 6-speed auto transmission option available in CRDe engine. Mahindra made sure that comfort package in Scorpio range like immobiliser, centre locking, low fuel indicator, steering adjustment, etc. didn’t have a loss.

 Under the hood, vehicle conceals a 2179 cc 4 cylinder engine and Common Rail Direct Injection Technology, churning max power of 120 bhp (88KW) @4000rpm and a release of peak torque of 280Nm @ 1800 – 2800 rpm. It seems Scorpio is going to be a strong competitor in its range of SUV’s like HYUNDAI Creta, RENAULT Duster, etc.

It is reported that Mahindra is planning to launch this new engine technology in all range of it SUV segment. The S4 Intelli-Hybrid tagged a price of Rs 9.74 lakhs, where the top end S10-4WD manual transmission version is tagged an Rs 14.01 lakhs.
