A rare incident happened in Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh. A Jain couple has decided to leave property worth around Rs 100 crore and their three yr old baby to become monks. Going into the details, Sumit Rathore and his wife Anamika having vexed up with luxurious life decided to give away their wealth and property to become munis. The Couple from Madhya Pradesh have married four years ago and have a daughter named Ibhya.

The Couple has scheduled to take Deeksha, which is the first step of their initiation into monkhood in Surat under Sudhamargi Jain Acharya Ramlal Maharaj on September 23. All the family members and residents of neemuch are quite shocked about their decision. Coming from a family who was involved in business and politics, their decision took everyone by surprise. The only thing everyone couldn’t understand is how can they leave their three-year-old daughter, Ibhya.

Ashok Chandaliya, Anamika’s father and former Neemuch district president of BJP said that “I will take care of my granddaughter,” He added that “We had no counter to their religious arguments and relented. One cannot stop anyone when religion calls”. Sumit’s father, Rajendra Singh Rathore, too accepted the decision. He said that “We were expecting this, but not so soon,”

Sumit and Anamika’s decision was not a big surprise to their closed ones because they had expressed their desire to take monkship when their daughter Ibhya was only eight months old. They even started living separately. The Couple have taken a vow of silence till the date of deeksha.
