IPL 2018 Title Sponsorship: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will begin the tender process to allocate the title sponsors for the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2018 on 31st of May. The current contract of BCCI with Vivo Mobile Phones expires with the end of this tournament.

The IPL governing council is yet to finalize the tender processes. Members of the committee including Vinod Rai, Vikram Limaye, and Diana Eduji also attended the meeting. As per the PTI, the council decided that the tender for IPL 2018 sponsorship will be held on May 31st. The Request for Proposal (RFP) for the contract will get decided on June 12th.

The invitation for the tender on next rights period will be on July 17th. IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla states that he is pleased that both the governing council and CoA members have finalized the timelines.

He claims that even though there is still time and the IPL 2017 just got completed, the early announcements will help the bidders as well as the service providers to prepare well. Vinod Rai, CoA chairman, said that he is confident about the process and is likely to assure all participants with transparency and accountability.
