IANS has recently announced an exciting news of all the Cellular Operator Associations in India is coming together to hold a Indian Mobile congress for the first time independent of other shows.

COAI is coming together with the Department of Telecommunications and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to hold a three-day show in our capital New Delhi.

COAI Director General, Rajan S.Mathews claimed that in the west there is Barcelona event (MWC) and in the east, they have Shangai Mobile World Congress, but we don’t have such things in South East Asia. So this event is introduced.

The three-day long event will be held from 27th September to 29th September 2017 with the participation of 8 or 10 countries. China holds the similar Mobile Congress almost every year called Shanghai Mobile World Congress and attracts the massive scale of the people.

CEO of the event P.Ramakrishna speaking of which said that he hopes at least a minimum of 8 countries will participate and make the event successful. He claimed that this is a yearly flagship. And India is going to host an Auto Expo for the automobiles which will serve to attract other countries.

The event is held with a budget of Rs. 15 crores and Israel, UK, Sweden countries have already accepted the invitations. US, Canada are still yet to confirm. It would be great and even more successful if China and Korea also attend the event.

The format of this event is similar to that of Barcelona Mobile Congress (MWC) which hosts the event with the first two days of media and celebrities and other prominent personalities. Even the public can attend the event if they have the passes.

The third-day public can join the event with free entries, and they can use the gadgets on display. This is going to be a great platform for launching new gadgets including earphones and mobile phones etc.

The Indian Mobile Congress is open to start-ups which work on Artificial Intelligence or some related technology, and they can exhibit their products in the event too at the stalls.

The event will be crowded with people and will be difficult even to walk in there. People have to wait in long and never ending queues to watch a single product and its performance. So COAI has to plan this well and less crowded.

It is a good move by the Indian Government to hold such a Technological event for the first time and this is a big step in the development of our nation.
